Summer exhibition with Per Fronth at Galleri Farsund

It is "a bit big" that Per Fronth is coming to little Farsund - he is, after all, in New York - and other big cities. Yes, and so here - in our little BIG CITY.

Per Fronth is one of Norway's most prominent artists. He is self-taught, but has had Arild Jakobsen, Kjell Nupen, Bob Blackburn and Odd Nerdrum as mentors. He works as a photographer, painter and graphic artist and uses a mixed technique in his graphic works, where photography is combined with lithography.

Per Fronth uses a mixed technique in his graphic works, where photography is combined with lithography. In this way, photographic motifs are composed with painterly color surfaces, put together to create a whole. He works a lot with the surfaces in the image, and his lithographs often take on a double three-dimensionality where the work is divided into separate surfaces, where each surface has a three-dimensional motif.

Per Fronth is one of Norway's most prominent artists, and in 2009 was selected as a Nobel Prize-winning artist and created the diploma given to Barack Obama.
