Uthavner, fyrglede and Ibsen at Backes Bu

- We are proud to be able to present such a varied program packed with coastal culture, says Kaperuka's project manager Kjell Rune Nakkestad.

Backes Bu, originally known as Tollisen's warehouse, is the last remaining of the 15 warehouses that were located on the seafront in Farsund.

The building dates from 1836 and has been important for both industry and fishing. Today it is the home of Kulturhuset Backes.

July 10

• At 19.30: Steinar Reinertsen takes us on a journey through Henrik Ibsen's epic poem, Terje Vigen.

July 11

• 14.30-15.30: Kåseri and film screening about the importance of lighthouses by author Jo van der Eynden and film producer Jan Robert Jore.
• 16.00-18.00: Fyrglede with Henriette Skjæveland and Linn Marita Andreassen.

July 12

• 11.00-17.00: Back to Backes – a whole day dedicated to exploring Backes bu and its history.
• 14.30-15.30: Exhibition and film screening about the role and importance of the outports by author Jo van der Eynden and film producer Jan Robert Jore.
• 16.00-18.00: Fyrglede by Henriette Skjæveland and Linn Marita Andreassen.
• 19.00-21.00: Lecture on fascinating discoveries in the hunt for Norway's lost medieval treasures by Professor Louis Sicking.

July 13

• 13.00-15.00: Lecture about the folklore at Lista where King Christian II lost two ships in 1531 with Linda and Håkon Reinertsen.
