The 2025 Kaperprisen goes to Jan Hvistendahl :)

This year's winner is a creative soul. Who takes great joy in creating, and for forty years has allowed the local community to share in this joy. Small, simple installations that provide room for wonder and fascination have appeared in various places throughout the municipality, where you least expect it.

In silence, this artist has single-handedly produced everyday magic in the form of small houses, mushrooms and stars. Paper art. Ice sculptures. As a gift to the community, to contribute to positive experiences for young and old. This everyday form of art is both effective and valuable, it makes Farsund a better place. It touches, moves and delights!

Recently, Farsund has literally become a warm place, thanks to this year's caper prize winner: With its characteristic hearts – in perishable ice and in durable wood – Farsund has become "The little town with the big heart". This warm guerrilla art started during the pandemic as a symbol of hope and love. Choosing the symbolic heart inspires and motivates us as a local community to take care of each other, to work to ensure that Farsund is a warm place to live and visit. A place where we invite and include, and have our hearts with us in what we do.

Thank you very much, Jan Hvistendahl, for all the meaningful things you have created. It leaves a mark. Congratulations on the Kaper Prize!
